I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
